What is RDC?

What is RDC?

RDC stands for Remote Deposit Capture. It is used by many merchants and banks to avoid standard processing delays associated with driving checks to a bank and using a teller. RDC usually refers to a machine the bank sends to you that transfers regular checks into images. Those images are then deposited into your bank account instantly. This is all part of new Check21 imaging capabilities that went into affect a few years ago.

Many banks use different names for Remote Deposit. Here are a few examples:

Chase Bank calls this "Chase Quick Deposit"
Citibank calls this "Citi Electronic Check Deposit"
PNC Bank calls this "Deposit Now"
US Bank calls this "Deposit Express"
Wells Fargo cals this "Desktop Deposit"

With Green Remote Deposit is handled without the need for your bank to send us a machine. We use the RDC setup at your bank to process your checks faster.

To get Same Day Deposits at No Additional Charge contact your bank and request "Remote Deposit" or "Remote Deposit Capture." If your banker does not understand what you are asking for refer to the names above, or tell them you would like to deposit using a Desktop Scanner.

Once approved simply send us the following for your RDC account and we will handle the rest:

Security Questions and Answers

If you are worried about the security of your checking account ask the bank to give you a second checking account, and setup the Remote Deposit under that account. You can then transfer the deposited funds as you see fit without the worry that someone has access to your most sensitive information.
