What is an RMP?
RMP stands for RISK MANAGEMENT POOL. An RMP is NOT a reserve. It is a place that funds are sent to from a group of merchant accounts. The group of funds help mitigate against losses from charge backs, accounts left negative at financial institutions, lawsuits and other legal actions, bank demands, and more.
Why is an RMP required?
If you have been informed that we require an RMP percentage on your account it is because your account has been deemed too high of a risk to process your checks without it. Without the RMP your account would have simply been declined.
